Myst Art

In class we have been doing Myst art. Myst art is when you draw a picture from Myst the computer game, and then colour it black for the silhouette. We used pastels. Pastels are chalk kind of things. You can smudge it is you want. But it gets pretty messy. My teacher got the idea from Mr Finlayson's blog. His class used paint.

Cute Puppy

What I enjoy

I enjoy dancing. I do jazz and performing group. Jazz is just normal dancing and performing group is going around to shopping centers and festivals and stuff like that. I have heaps and heaps of fun dancing. I recommend it to everyone.

How to play hangman

To begin you need at least 2 people to play the game. After you have at least 2 people one person is to choose a word then write lines for each letter. Now the other people gave to guess letters. If they get a letter right the person writes it in the line were the letter goes. If you get the letter wrong you write it to the side and draw a head then so on until you get a man. That means you are out. I hope you now know how to play hangman.

My Fantasy Holiday

If I got to choose where I wanted to go in the world I would choose Paris. I would go and see the eiffel tower because it is the main attraction in Paris. I would just love to look around and buy everything but even I know I can't buy everything. All my friends would have to come. I would go for 2 weeks. Trixie Belden, The Secret Of The Manison

Today I read Trixie Belden, The Secret Of The Mansion by Julie Campbell. This book is all about Mysteries. There are heaps of books in the series. My favourite character is Trixie because she is outrages. My least favourite character is Jonesy because he is very mean to Jim. My favourite part of the book is when Trixie, Honey and Jim find a secret summer house because it is very exciting. Here is an acrostic poem on Trixie.

Go Girl Difference Style Stars

Today I read Go Girl Difference Style Stars by Chrissie Perry. This book is very interesting so far. I the the phrase "Because she is trying to make herself beautiful" because it is very funny in a way that I just can't describe. My favourite character is Ching Ching because she is loud and out there. Here is the blurb.

Today I read The Witches, by Roald Dahl. This book is exciting, scary and very interesting. I think the witches are scary and should stop harming children. A witch wears gloves, a wig and her eyes change different colors. Here is an acrostic poem on the witches.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

Today I read Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, by J.K Rowling. I have just started reading this book and so far I think it is great. I have already read all of the Harry Potter series but I thought they were so great I decided to read them again. The story is about a boy called Harry Potter who’s parents die by Voldemort killing them, but Harry defeats Voldemort. Now Harry has to go live with his mean and nasty aunt and uncle. I didn’t like it when I found out the Voldemort killed Harry Potter’s parents. I liked it when I found out Harry killed Voldemort. The character I like best is Harry because he is brave and outrageous. When I was reading a certain bit of the book it made me get a picture in my head of Hagrid the big scary giant (who by the way isn’t scary at all). I recommend this book to people who like mysterious books. I can't wait to finish this book.

Myst

This term we are using a computer game called Myst. Myst is an island, where you explore the island and try to get to different worlds. We are using Myst so we can get better at our descriptive writing. Here is some of my favourite sentences I have written.

I feel a little weird standing on this island not knowing why I am here.

The birds are flying gracefully threw the sky.

I see tall green trees nearly as tall as skyscrapers.

Imagine living on this island. Would it be paridise or would it be scary?
